We’re hiring UX/UI Designer

We are looking for a UX/UI designer to join our team in Prague or Brno. Specifically someone who enjoys UI and visual design in general, while also having the ambition to think about the overall customer experience.

Job description

What do we do?

We create customer experience. Services, marketing strategies, successful brands, websites, e-shops, and other digital channels — designed to generate revenue for clients and meet long-term goals. We are a team of analysts, researchers, designers, marketers, developers, and project managers. We build on data and research, not assumptions. That's what gives our work meaning — for clients and for us.

What awaits you here?

In short – creating strategy, designing and testing digital projects with a big name or impact, as well as solving more complex problems across the entire service design.

You'll have space to:

  • engage with clients from the sales phase and thereby get to know and deeply understand their business,
  • analyse clients' businesses and their competitors,
  • conduct and evaluate user research,
  • propose solutions and then test them,
  • set and evolve the visual direction of projects,
  • oversee the development and implementation of your designs.

And together with a lead designer also:

  • define the design process for projects,
  • define the strategy for redesign and development of clients' projects or services.

You'll work on two to three projects for both B2C and B2B clients and also get involved in our own internal projects.

What do we expect from you?

Our designers are generalists rather than specialists. That doesn't mean you have to do everything — each of us focuses on different phases of the design process, but can still be a partner across the whole process. What matters is that:

  • you can tackle diverse problems that may not have clear-cut solutions,
  • you can take prototypes all the way to a final visual form,
  • you have at least basic experience with information architecture and UX writing,
  • you make decisions based on data,
  • you actively collect feedback from the team and client,
  • you can justify your decisions to the team and client,
  • you want to actively develop and grow,
  • you approach design not only from a user perspective but also from a business perspective.

What's in it for you?

First and foremost:

  • contract type of your choice – employment contract or freelance,
  • a fair salary – monthly pay of 50,000–80,000 CZK,
  • offices in central Prague (near I. P. Pavlova square) or Brno (near Lužánky),
  • working hours to suit your preferences and remote work whenever you need it,
  • laptop and other necessary equipment.

And on top of that:

  • a reliable project management team that will be your right hand in client communication and make sure nobody chases you late at night or on weekends,
  • a friendly team where you'll have eleven designers and analysts by your side, sharing their know-how and happy to give you feedback,
  • regular team meetups and company team-building events,
  • room for learning and growth – we have an extensive library and many other learning resources, including our own internal documents,
  • paid conferences and courses – we'll cover conferences and courses that push you forward and give you the opportunity to connect with great people.

Interested? Great!

You can go ahead and fill in the form or write to us at prace@proofreason.com. Don't forget to link to your portfolio or attach examples of your work directly in the email. We're mainly interested in websites and apps, but any other visual design examples from your past work are very welcome.

Adding a few lines about yourself, the projects you've worked on, and your CV or a LinkedIn link is always a plus.

What comes next?

  1. 01

we'll schedule a first meeting – you'll meet Robin and chat about your experience, the role you're looking for, and Proof & Reason,

  2. 02

at the second meeting you'll get to know Michal and one other team member, and discuss your experience in more detail,

  3. 03

in some cases we'll ask for a short task after the second meeting – it will take no more than one day and will be paid,

  4. 04

finally you'll receive a concrete offer and we'll agree on terms.
